To promote biodiversity in our soil, food, + community. Preserving the cultural history of heirloom varieties + heritage poultry breeds.
As a proud third-generation immigrant + member of a huge tight-knit family, my most cherished memories are being surrounded by my loved ones sharing stories.
Growing up in a family-owned restaurant (Ruiz Mexican Restaurant - 54+ years and going strong!), my siblings and I were taught the crucial importance of serving our community + sharing our passion.
My passion is to promote biodiversity and heal the damage done to our planet and to also preserve the cultural history + stories around food. By growing heirloom produce + raising heritage poultry breeds - following regenerative agricultural practices - I seek to reconnect my community to the earth + the millions of hands that have carried these seeds and animals through the generations.
